\nThe issues you raised are very important to authors. One of the problems we have as writers (I'm a writer too :), is that we have VIVID imaginations. We know WHY things are happening and can SEE the whole thing in our heads ie. the characters movements and facial expressions, what they see when they scan a room etc. The problem is sharing this cleverly with our readers. You need to give enough detail so that they are not confused.
\nWriting is a craft and a few extra touches can perfect a story.
\nI'm impressed with the work you have done.You have all the basis you need for a gripping story and now need to concentrate on re-working.
\nI agree with your self -assessment ... fix the wild and strange, add essential details and explanations. Readers want to know why things happen.
