You decide to listen to the story. It might help to solve the mystery.
"I'll listen to the story," you say grimly.
"Once upon a time a large, small ship called the Celeste Mary--Sorry, the Mary Celeste--set sail to the Bermuda hexagon--
sorry again, the Bermuda Triangle."
You raise an eyebrow.'What a faulty story!' you joke to yourself.
"And they were just merrily strolling along, well, sailing along, and two people staying in your jolly old cabin, number 500
and 2, and they were all happily sleeping..." the Captain continued, not noticing your raised eyebrow, "and the bottom-bunk
chooser got up to have a peckish, as he was that, and, being nice, he was going to ask his friend if he would like a bun."
'Miss the details...I need to get on with it!' you think, frustrated.
"And here's what you have been waiting for...the friend had disappeared! We k-now becuase he sen-it a note"
You gasp.'Thats what happened to Bob! He dissapeared!'
"Thanks Cap! Thats all that I need. But please...tell me more!" you say, "what was the name again? Who was the Captain?
Where did the ship go?"
"One at time, my friend! First, the name of the ship, was it?"
"Yes...keep going, please!"
"Righto! The name--Mary Celeste. The Captains--golly gosh... I've just realised something! The Captains name was Benjamin Spooner Briggs! My name is Captain Benjamin Spooner Smith! Gosh! We must be cousins...well, actually, grandfather and
grandson...hmmm."
You jump to your feet.
"Thanks again Cap'n! But there is one more thing...where did the ship go?"
"It was found in great condition. She had been at sea for a month and had over six months' worth of food and water on
board. Her cargo was almost untouched and the personal belongings of the crew were still in place, including prized
possesions. The crew was never seen or heard from again. Their disappearance is often said as the greatest mystery of all time," the Captain replied mechanically.
"Thanks," you say quietly, "thanks alot."
"One more thing, matey mate. Things like this have happened on my ship before, all pepple goin' missing from Cabin 502."
